How far can the "Outbounder®" travel on a full charge?
That depends on the type of batteries that you have or use. If you have Gel batteries you can expect to go approximately 6.5 miles on a charge. If you are using wet batteries you may go as far as 14 miles on a single charge.
How long does it take to fully charge?
It depends on the size and the type of batteries, the amount that it has been discharged and the battery charger used. In summary: They should be fully charged in 8-10 hours.
When not in use - do I keep it plugged into the charger? Will prolonged charging hurt the batteries?
The chargers are smart; they know when the batteries are charged, you can't over charge them.
What batteries are used and are they included in the price?
Discovertm batteries (group 27) are included in the price. Larger batteries can be ordered separately.
Is the battery charger included in the price?
No, because some people already have charges that will work with our system.
Does moisture affect the "Outbounder®"
"Outbounder®" has sealed motors and batteries - rain and puddles will not affect the operation. The joystick is also sealed against moisture. The "Outbounder®" will not travel through deep water. Wet and frozen surfaces can cause loss of traction as they will for any wheel driven vehicle, particularly on slopes.
Does the seat recline?
Yes, it will recline flat.
Does the joystick mount either left hand or right hand?
Yes the "Outbounder®" can be ordered with either preference.
What other 12 volt options are available?
The "Outbounder®" can be ordered with one or more 12 volt accessory plugs for any accessory you may desire to add - such as a GPS - or Cell phone charger, or even a cup warmer.
What are the color options?
We can powder coat almost any color of your choice, plus we can also apply a camouflage print as well as an additional option.
What is the towing capacity for the "Outbounder®"
Outbounder can easily pull a garden cart, sled, 44 inch tow mower, spray rig etc as you might behind a lawn tractor.
Are other control systems available?
Yes, the P&G controllers are very versatile and can be adapted to operate with various controls.
What is the top speed of the "Outbounder®" are other speed options available?
Approximately 4.3 M.P.H. is the top speed. For optimum life of the drive system we don't recommend higher speeds.
